The Footprint Project, National Trust |
|
Main Contact: Kelley Sproston -Community learning Officer Description of work: Exciting and cross - curricular discovery sessions focussing on sustainability and the environment, using ‘The Footprint', a new and inspiring eco-classroom, as a stimulus for learning. Sessions are hands on, take place mostly outdoors, and will inspire and enable you and your group towards a greener future. Full and Half day programmes, all year round.
What's special The ‘Footprint' is a new National Trust building at St Catherines, Windermere and is made of straw and other natural building materials. This inspirational place is primarily an education base for schools and is a wonderful example of how we can lessen our impact on the environment whilst at the same time creating an exciting educational and recreational space which compliments the existing landscape.
