Main Contact: Jason Mills Description of work: Braywick Nature Centre offers a range of environmental education activities for schools, based at the Centre itself and exploring the range of habitats found in Braywick Park. Over 2,000 school children visit Braywick each year, from Key Stage 1 pupils to A level students. Teachers can choose from half-day or full-day ranger-led activities, sessions can be tailored to the particular needs of the group. Schools may also book the Nature Centre to use as a base for self-led study sessions, with resources available including the Braywick Tree Trail and Braywick Nature Trail leaflets, and feild equipment for studying the wildlife and habitats in the Park. Whats Special ?: Braywick Nature Centre occupies a converted stable block dating from the 18th centuary, and lies within the 40 hectare Braywick Park with access to a diverse range of wildlife habitats including ponds, woodlands and grassland. The Centre houses displays and exhibitions on wildlife, countryside management, sustainability and local history.
