The Raymond Priestley Centre

Main Contact: Norman Beech
Description of work: The Raymond Priestley Centre is the University of Birmingham's Outdoor Pursuits and Field Studies Centre in the Lake District. We work with a variety of clients from schools, undergraduates, postgraduates, recreational users and buisness groups. All our courses are tailor made to suit and we can build team, recreational, skills and eco-courses as required.
Whats Special ?: The Raymond Priestley Centre is situated on the western shore of Coniston Water. It is possible to undertake the majority of our activities without transport (including walking up the Old Man of Coniston and discovering Wild Cat Island from Swallows and Amazons). The Centre holds the Eco-Centre Award and is able to provide the John Muir Award in partnership with the Forestry Commision, National Trust and Woodland Trust.
